Obituary for Alexander James Marra

Alexander James Marra, age 30 of Orem, Utah, died February 17th, 2018, while skiing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Alex was born December 16, 1987, the youngest child of Stephanie and Anthony J. Marra, Jr. of Chagrin Falls. Alex is a graduate of Kenston High School where he played football. He graduated from Utah Valley University after serving a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Colorado, Colorado Springs Mission. Alex worked in sales of solar panels. Alex loved to hike, ski, and ran several marathons. He loved serving in the church and serving others. He was a light and blessing to all who knew him. Alex is survived by his parents; a sister, Jesseca Marra Parker (Thomas); three brothers, Anthony (Sandy), Nicholas (Ciara), and Michael (Brittney). He found great joy in his family and was a favorite uncle to all his 13 nieces and nephews, Jameson, Kenzie, Marra, Daisy, and Streeter Parker, Joey, Max, Sasha and Maverick Marra, Leah and Dominic Marra, Cameron Harp and Mac Marra. Alex is survived also by grandparents Anthony J. Marra, Sr., and his beloved centurion grandmother Claire Marcus. Viewing services will be Thursday March 1, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hiram Ward Meeting House, 6149 Pioneer Trail, Hiram, Ohio 44234 where funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are asked to gather for a graveside service at 12:30 PM at Kirtland North Cemetery.
